🏒 The Bruins’ record-breaking season
🏒 A look back at the Bruins’ record-breaking season
Let’s spend some cash at the Garden, Boston. | Photo by @memoriesbynomad
On the heels of a record-breaking regular season, the Bruins are back on the ice tonight. The Stanley Cup playoffs open at TD Garden tonight, April 17, against the Florida Panthers.
Before we get ready for even more hockey hoopla, here’s an overview of just how legendary the B’s have been:
The team ended the season with a 65-12-5 record, breaking two NHL records for the most wins + most points in a regular season.
The Bruins’ goal differential is 62 goals better than the second-best team, the Dallas Stars.
Goaltenders Linus Ullmark and Jeremy Swayman earned the league’s best team save percentage, with the help of Keith Kinkaid.
Winger David Pastrňák notched 61 goals this season, earning second place in the goal-scoring race.
If you aren’t up for facing the crowds, today is still a great opportunity to reflect + honor Boston’s resilience.
Netflix’s documentary about the 2013 tragedy, “American Manhunt: The Boston Marathon Bombing,” has been released. Give it a watch for a reminder that our city is, and always will be, #BostonStrong.
