It’s wicked hot and muggy, Boston. These temperatures don’t seem to be cooling down anytime soon, but you can chill out at one of these pools around the city.

Mirabella Pool
This city pool in the North End is a perfect place to cool off with views of the Harbor. Open Wednesday through Sunday from 8:15 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. Swim sessions are 90-minutes. If the pool reaches capacity, guests are asked to wait until the next session to take a lap.

Reilly Memorial Swimming Pool
This municipal pool can be found in Cleveland Circle + the amenities include lockers, showers, and restrooms. Open from 11:15 a.m. to 6:35 p.m. If the parking lot is full, you can find street parking along Beacon Street.

Melnea A. Cass Memorial Swimming Pool and Spray Deck
The indoor arena is open year-round, but the outdoor pool is the big draw in the summer. Swim from 11:15 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. or hit up the spray deck from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at this Roxbury favorite.

Veterans Memorial Swimming Pool
This Cambridge pool is located near the Charles River and the 15-acre Magazine Beach park featuring fitness and exercise equipment. The pool and spray deck are free and open to all from 11 a.m. to 6:45 p.m.

Latta Brothers Memorial Swimming Pool and Spray Deck
This Somerville city pool offers a parking lot and playground. The spray deck opens at 8 a.m. and the pool opens at 11:15 a.m.

From the editor
I think I need to plan a visit to Steel & Rye to try this trending $5 French dessert made of day-old brioche, frangipane, almonds, and a sprinkle of powdered sugar. I usually visit their tent at the farmers market outside of the Boston Public Library, and can confirm the sandwiches are delicious. I’ll report back about this sweet treat.
