Where to go ice skating in Boston

With temperatures quickly dropping, we’d be on thin ice if we didn’t share where to go ice skating this holiday season.

Frog Pond at Boston Common

Hours: Monday 10 a.m.-3:45 p.m.; Tuesday-Sunday 10 a.m.-10 p.m.
Cost: $8 for adult admission, $15 for skate rentals

Outside of special holiday hours , the popular rink downtown is now open daily. Ticket sales end 30 minutes before the rink closes for the night.

The Rink at 401 Park

Hours: Monday–Friday 3pm-9pm; Saturday 11am-10pm; Sunday 11am-8pm
Cost: $10 for adult admission, $6 for skate rentals

Head to The Fenway for the third year of ice skating right in between Trillium + Time Out Market. Purchase timed tickets before you head over to ensure your spot on the ice.

Skate @ Canal District

Hours: Monday and Tuesday 12-5 p.m.; Wednesday and Thursday 12-8 p.m.; Friday 12-9 p.m.; Saturday 11 a.m.-9 p.m.; Sunday 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
Cost: $6 for adult admission, $10 for skate rentals

This wintry escape in Kendall Square will open to the public on Saturday, Dec. 3. Pro tip: Visit on opening day to check out the neighborhood’s Winter Market .
